Frequently asked questions

Why is the output PNG?

PNG can store the transparent areas outside the rounded corners. JPG would require a solid background.

Can I make a circular profile picture?

For a square source, a radius of half the image width rounds it into a circle. Crop to a square first for a round profile image.

Does rounding reduce the image dimensions?

No. The canvas keeps the source width and height; the corner areas become transparent.

What if the radius is too large?

The applied radius is capped at half the shorter side of the image to keep the shape valid.
